DRAFT PIAVEE – A Pedagogy-Independent Education Environment

We describe PIAVEE (Platform Independent Agentbased Virtual Educational Environment), which has been conceptualized around having a lightweight, flexible environment that utilizes educational objects or resources held in a virtual data base and supported by an intelligent delivery system. The concept is being implemented using an evolutionary approach, where the initial focus is upon the virtual information system, its development and basic access to it. The paper describes the initial implementations, which focus upon providing proof of concept, and basic level functionality.
